Immunization Partnership Fund: Increasing Confidence, Acceptance and Uptake of COVID-19 Vaccines

From the Immunization Partnership Fund Team, The Public Health Agency of Canada

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign is the largest mass vaccination campaign ever undertaken. It is a key component of our collective efforts to save lives and livelihoods. But research tells us that not everyone is planning to get vaccinated. Canadians have questions and require trusted sources of information.

While vaccine hesitancy is not new, the stakes are higher today than they have been in the recent past. New and re-designed or enhanced interventions are required to ensure Canadians have the information they need. Initiatives are required to help healthcare providers confidently counsel their patients. Community-driven solutions are needed to speak to diverse groups of Canadians in the language and voices they trust. There is no “one size fits all” solution and a multifaceted approach, grounded in Canada’s diversity, is crucial for reaching all Canadians.

To help in these efforts, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is pleased to invite eligible organizations to submit letters of intent (LOI) for projects focussed on increasing Canadians’ confidence in and access to COVID-19 vaccines and improving vaccine uptake overall.

Applications must be submitted using PHAC’s Immunization Partnership Fund LOI Template. To obtain a copy of the LOI Template, please contact: [email protected] with the subject line “LOI Immunization Partnership Fund”. LOIs must be submitted by 11:59 PM Eastern time on March 5, 2021.  For more information about this funding opportunity, please visit the Immunization Partnership Fund’s Call for Proposals.
