The Public Health Association of BC’s would like to encourage everyone to register for our 10thannual Public Health Summer School, Simplifying Complexity: Public Health Approaches & Practice in Complex Systems. The goal of this two day event is to bring together individuals involved directly or indirectly in the delivery of public health activities and introduce the topic of complex adaptive systems, what it is, and how it can be used to create innovative solutions to population level interventions in public health. We will explore the theme through a number of important topics including: Immunizations/Infections Disease Response, Food Systems & Security, Health Equity in Practice, and Overdose Response/Safe Supplies.
The Public Health Summer School, hosted in partnership with the Public Health Association of BC, Saskatchewan Public Health Association, Manitoba Public Health Association, Yukon Public Health Community of Practice and the Public Health Agency of Canada, is one of Western Canada’s only continuing education courses for public health. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the latest issues in public health, build your professional skill-set, network with like-minded individuals and find out how you can design effective population level interventions using systems theory!
This two-day workshop will take place July 4th and 5th, 2019 at four university campuses across BC. See the save the date (attached) for more information about locations, pricing and registration.
