World Hepatitis Day: Campaigns and Resources

World Hepatitis Day is on July 28; a day to educate and share resources. This year the theme is #ShowYourFace. The theme is “focusing on individual human faces to highlight that hepatitis is relevant to everyone. Together we can all put a human face to the elimination of viral hepatitis.” Learn more about the campaign and how you can support it.

In recognition of World Hepatitis Day, we are introducing our HCV Resources page. It includes the following sections:

  • Epidemiology
  • Testing
  • Disease and Treatment Information
  • Community Organizations and Collective Action
  • Post-Treatment Issues
  • Research
  • Subscriptions for ongoing HCV updates

As in past years, PAN has invited submissions from member groups about HCV Day events they are having. You can find them in the 2017 World Hepatitis Day Events in British Columbia post. This list is based on submissions through the PAN Weekly News and may not be exhaustive, so I’ve included a link to another site listing events as well. If you have an event and want it included, send me an email with details about date, time, place, organizers, and where to get more information.

To all doing HCV prevention, education, and support, may the day be marked in community with support for those in need and energy for improving conditions for all.
