Seems like it is becoming more and more difficult to find affordable housing in British Columbia.

People living with HIV experience high rates of poverty, stigma, discrimination and homelessness. New medications are helping us live longer but there are challenges for us as we get older and need access to safe and affordable housing and other services that meet our specific needs. There are housing services available but how do you plan to live once your benefits change from disability or a regular income to pension and retirement wages? Kim, Siobhan and Sharon from McLaren Housing Society will talk about what is available, how to access housing services and also why you need to plan now to ensure you have safe and affordable housing as you get older living with HIV. Neil and Tom from Positive Living BC will share their experiences and how Positive Living BC can help you access housing in uncertain times.
