Further to our commitment to you to respond to the Letter of Intent (LOI) applications in June, I am writing to provide you with an update regarding the status of the LOI review.
As you are aware, the LOI solicitation for the Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC) HIV and Hepatitis C Community Action Fund (Community Action Fund) was launched on February 17, 2016 and closed on April 15, 2016.
All the LOIs were concurrently reviewed by representatives from PHAC, provincial and territorial government officials, people living with HIV and people living with or affected by hepatitis C, and subject matter experts from across the country. PHAC is at the final stage of review which will be completed in the next few weeks.
While we had hoped to have decisions on the LOIs this month, we are taking additional time to ensure that all factors are taken into account. It is anticipated that decisions will be communicated to all applicants later this summer, at which time successful organizations will be invited to submit full proposals. We will adjust timelines accordingly for the subsequent steps in our solicitation process.
Thank you for your interest in the Community Action Fund. Should you have further questions, please direct them to: [email protected].
