REL8 Okanagan World AIDS Day announcement

Kelowna, BC (December 1st, 2015) – Today REL8 Okanagan HIV Positive Social Group stands in silence as thirty-nine million red ribbons fall to the earth from a crimson sky. One for each person who has died of AIDS to date. Many of you were activists and pioneers, you were all certainly innocent victims. We honour your memory, your life, your work and your sacrifice.

Today we also share this silence with our many brothers, sisters and others who are living with HIV. Your pain, suffering and hunger for justice are not lost with us. Today we stand together as Stigma Warriors to put an end to HIV and its stigma.

Today, in commemoration of World AIDS Day 2015, REL8 Okanagan  announces the creation of a new Facebook group: Men’s Advocacy Network (MAN). MAN’s goal is to bring the communities of Gay, Bi-sexual, and men who have sex with men together. The MAN group is a clearing house for information related to men’s health and quality of life concerns. It is a free speech zone driven by its members.

You can find us on Facebook at:

We hope that you will join us in making this venture a success and help improve the health and quality of life for all men who have sex with men in memory of our fallen heroes.
