The Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Network (CAAN), in partnership with the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR); CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network (CTN); CIHR Centre for REACH (REACH); and the CIHR Social Research Centre for HIV Prevention (SRC), is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator for the Refining the Research Response: An Aboriginal HIV and AIDS Research Strategy for Canada project. The aim of this project is to refine the contribution that research can offer in response to the complex dynamics of the HIV epidemic in Aboriginal communities in Canada to produce a unifying, community-driven research strategy.

THE CANDIDATE:
Reporting to the CAAN Director of Research and Policy, the Research Coordinator will be responsible for: facilitating team communications and coordination; supporting peer research associates (PRAs); collecting, reviewing and summarizing literature; assisting with focus group recruitment and facilitation; data collection/entry/analysis; conference presentations; and contributing to report writing. Direction for these activities will be offered collaboratively by the full research team.
