The YOUTHCO Community Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and referring five youth (29 and under) to participate in the Literacy Lives 6 month pilot project; co-developing learning plans with those learners to pre-identify possible challenges to their success in the program and develop strategies to mitigate those challenges; and supporting the learners as they make their way through the 26-week curriculum, including identifying and liaising with other support providers as well as the Support Programs Manager at YouthCO. All work will be done in close collaboration with the SFU Literacy Lives project team and community coordinators based at other community-based partner agencies. The position is temporary part time (12 hours per week).
